The Planning Policy team is responsible for providing policies to guide future development in the district. These policies will be set out in the Local Development Framework.
The Core Strategy
The Core Strategy is the key overarching document in the Local Development Framework and is the first of a new generation of policy documents that will set out the long-term planning framework for the district. A consultation on the Draft Core Strategy finished on 3rd February 2011.
The Draft Core Strategy was submitted to the Planning Inspectorate on 3rd May 2011 for independent examination. Click here to read more.
