Contacting Planning Services:
We have made some changes to the way you contact us. We’ve included details below of who you should contact, depending on your enquiry:
· General enquiries - Do I need planning permission? Is my building listed? Is my building in a Conservation Area? How much are the planning fees? How do I get the relevant forms? You should phone Council Connect on 01225 39 40 41 for all general enquiries.
· Live planning or listed building applications - Has the application been registered / decided? Is the application going to Committee? When is the deadline for the decision? Phone Council Connect on 01225 39 40 41. Unless you are the applicant or agent in which case you should contact your Case Officer, using the contact details provided with your acknowledgment letter.
· Viewing plans - All planning applications, which include the plans, are now available online at http://planning.bathnes.gov.uk/PublicAccess/
If you don’t have access to the internet, you can use the self-service computers at all Council Connect offices. They are available at The Guildhall in Bath up to 21 May 2012 (One Stop Shop, 3-4 Manvers Street, Bath BA1 1JQ after 21 May), Riverside in Keynsham and The Hollies in Midsomer Norton.
Can I submit a planning application at Council Connect at the Guildhall?
It is recommended that planning applications are submitted online via the Planning Portal at www.planningportal.gov.uk
They can be posted to Planning Services, PO Box 5006, Bath, BA1 1JG.
And planning applications, including Household Development Questionnaires, will also be accepted at Council Connect at the Guildhall.
If you have submitted an application and have an enquiry about it, the Case Officer dealing with the application will have provided their contact details.
If you wish to submit a comment on an application this can be done:
• From the public website at http://planning.bathnes.gov.uk/publicaccess/
• By email to development_control@bathnes.gov.uk
• In writing to Planning Services, PO Box 5006, Bath, BA1 1JG.
Where can I get copies of planning or listed building forms?
Planning or listed building forms include the Household Development Questionnaire, planning and listed building application forms and applications for tree works. They are all available for you to print yourself from the public website at: www.bathnes.gov.uk/planning

Where will I be able to view deposit documents?
These documents include Traffic Regulation Orders, Tree Preservation Orders, changes to Public Rights of Way and Compulsory Purchase Orders.
