The Planning Policy team is responsible for providing policies to guide and encourage future development in the district.
The Planning Policy homepage contains information relating to the Local Plan, the Local Development Framework, supplementary planning documents and other planning policy documents, as well as information relating to national and regional planning policy.
The Core Strategy is the first of a new generation of policy documents for Bath & North East Somerset and it will set out the long-term planning framework for the district.

Core Strategy Examination Hearings will commence on 17th January 2012 at 10am in the Brunswick Room, The Guildhall, Bath BA1 0TB. On subsequent days the Hearing sessions will start at 9.30am.
