Area Placement and Support Panels (Fair Access Criteria)

'Improving Behaviour and Attendance'

Information for Parents/Carers

Pupils in the following categories should be referred to the relevant Area Placement and Support Panel.

Permanently Excluded - pupils who are currently permanently excluded and have no school place.
Children without a school place who have been referred by the Children Missing Education Service (CMES) for placement and support.
Pupils in Specialist Behaviour Service provision ready for reintegration.
Pupils with attendance of less than 80% over a one year period where either the home school is requesting support or parents/carers are requesting a change of school and CMES are involved.
Pupils at Stage 2 of the school's discipline code.
Pupils with special educational needs with behaviour, emotional or social difficulties as the primary need and at School Action or school Action Plus of the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice.
