Creating Gifts and Developing Talents: Inclusive, Aspirational Education for ALL
We want all Children and Young people to enjoy childhood and to be well prepared for adult life.
(Children's Service, 2012)
...and as one of our 9 year old pupils said, "Nothing is impossible to a child with imagination."
What is important to me?
What do I do that I value?
How can I improve what I am doing?
How can I make a difference that matters?
What talents and gifts do I want to develop?
How can I contribute to improving learning and life?
These are the sort of questions that APEX has helped all children, young people and educators ask and answer.
In Bath and North East Somerset we believe that all children and young people are capable of developing talents, expertise and knowledge to offer as gifts to enhance their own learning and life and the learning and lives of others.
APEX ends 31st August 2012. Over the years APEX has contributed to the development of inclusive gifted and talented educational practice, provision and theory to improve the quality of the education all our children and young people experience. We hope the stories of the knowledge and relationships that have been developed can be shared and contribute to an improving future as living legacies. Want to know more? Want to contribute?
