The Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) 2011-2014 is the document that outlines what the group of partnership agencies made up of representatives from Local Authority, health, schools, the voluntary sector and other organisations are going to do to support and improve outcomes for Children ,Young People and their families across Bath & North East Somerset.
Those partnership agencies meet together as The Children’s Trust Board (CTB). It is the CTB that has overall responsibility for ensuring that services that have been identified as being key to improving outcomes for children and young people , deliver the commitments they have identified in the CYPP.
The current CYPP 2011-2014 sets out the strategic direction for the planning and delivery of services to children and young people. It highlights agreed priorities and the future development of services within health, education and social care.
The 5 priority areas that have been agreed are
Priority Areas – all equal ranking
- Providing children and young people with a safe environment, including empowering children and young people to recognise and mange risks
- Promoting children and young people’s emotional health and resilience for learning and life.
- Reducing health, education and social inequalities in specific groups of children and young people and specific geographical areas.
- Supporting all young people to engage in employment, education and training from 16-19
- Promoting healthy lifestyles for children and young people.
