Living within our means

On Monday I met with traders in Kingsmead Square, in Bath. We discussed potential pedestrianisation, ways to improve the area and what more can be done to support retailers.

Making improvements has been on the agenda for some time now, we want to drive this forward and it was good to hear feedback from those who live and work there.

Celebrating our creative builders and designers

My week began with a meeting with developers where we discussed potential future building projects for Bath and North East Somerset and the West of England. A right Royal week of activity

This week I was invited to witness a key phase in the Saw Close development which is currently underway in Bath city centre. Taking a positive step

One issue has dominated the agenda for me this week. On Wednesday the Cabinet met to identify a preferred site for an east of Bath Park & Ride. This issue has been on the table for many years so to finally have a decision about the preferred site is a positive step.
