Services available at this office
Council Connect
- General enquiries & reporting issues regarding Cleansing, Highways, Parks & Open Spaces, Street Lighting, Planning, Waste (including refuse & recycling, bulky collections & purchasing garden waste eco sacks).
- Council Tax and Benefit Enquiries.
- Concessionary Travel & Bus Passes.
- Discovery Card applications. Bring proof of ID and residency to the office, have your photo taken and get your card. More information is available on the Discovery Card pages.
- Housing Advice. Appointments to see an advisor can be booked by phoning 01225 396124. You can also use the Homesearch facility at this office on the self-service computer.
- General enquiries for any council service.
- Making payments for council services using the self-service kiosks.
- Tourist and community information can be accessed from the self service PC in the Council Connect office via the official Tourism Website. Leaflets are also available about a variety of local attractions on the Upper Ground Floor of the building.
- The Citizens Advice Bureau are now based on the Upper Ground Floor of the building. Advisors are available to provide independent, confidential and impartial advice.
- Search for jobs using the Jobcentre Plus kiosk on the Upper Ground Floor. You can also find out about current vacancies by calling Jobseeker Direct on 0845 6060234 or searching for jobs online at Directgov (Council Connect also have a self-service PC on the Lower Ground Floor you can use to search the website.)

Council Connect is located in The Hollies building, High Street, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2DP.
- By car: For directions see Google Maps.
- By bus: There are three bus stops located on the High Street near to The Hollies. There is one on either side of the road outside the Town Hall, and one directly opposite The Hollies outside Midsomer Norton Library. For information about bus routes and timetables see First Group.
