Bath & North East Somerset Council has launched a new draft transport strategy for Bath and wants to hear your views.

Bath is an important World Heritage City – we must look after the environment of the city whilst ensuring it’s a great place to live and work.

The aim is to reduce congestion and allow people to move around to make the long-term economic strategy for the area work.

The Draft Strategy has a vision for transport in Bath which is that:

Bath will enhance its unique status by adopting measures that promote sustainable transport and reduce the intrusion of vehicles, particularly in the historic core.  This will enable more economic activity and growth, while enhancing its special character and environment and improving the quality of life for local people.

Alongside the overall Transport Strategy we have been developing a number of more detailed options around a Park and Ride to the east of Bath.

You can see the options report and associated figures and appendices at the Getting around Bath webpage and we welcome any comments you may have on the report.
