Prepurchase
Right of Interment may be prepurchased i.e. purchased before it is required. The fee is as stated above plus 50%.
Rights are for:
- Graves no larger than the size stipulated on the application form at the time of purchase.
- Subject to Bath and North East Somerset's Rules and Regulations governing cemeteries.
- For the term of years specified, but may be renewed in units of 10 years (current fee £260).

Please remember that these are not the total costs of a funeral. Your funeral director should send the appropriate fee in with the application form so he/she may ask for them when the booking is made, or he/she may recover them by showing them as separate disbursements on your invoice.
There will be other disbursements including

- Minister's/celebrant's fees
These are the fees that will still be payable if you arrange the funeral yourself without the services of a funeral director.
Funeral Costs are the first charge on the estate of the deceased. Any bank or building society will pay an invoice for these costs from the deceased's account even when it is frozen pending application for Probate or Letters of Administration.
The right to erect a memorial can only be given to the owner of the right of interment in a grave. At present the right to erect a memorial is granted for the same length of time as the right of interment i.e. 30 or 50 years.
