Crime Prevention

Link to video page: Building communities where people feel safe and secure

Community safety is more than just about reducing crime and disorder.  It is about tackling the fear of crime and maintaining and improving quality of life, making Bath and North East Somerset an even safer and better place to live, work and visit.

Bath and North East Somerset generally has healthy, safe communities with overall levels of deprivation well below the national average. In addition, although crime levels are low, fear of crime, disorder and anti social behaviour are priorities for local people.

In the event of becoming a victim of crime, once a report of the incident has been made the victim is able to access a service called 'track my crime'. This service is provided to victims so that they can stay informed of any progress being made with their case.

Everyone has a part to play, as we can make a real difference by working together.
