Play services have expanded over the last three years as a result of funding being granted through the Big Lottery and Play Pathfinder. Bath & North East Somerset established a Play Strategy in 2006 and has developed a number of innovative projects, becoming a national and regional example of good practice which has ensured a high profile for the work of projects like the Community Play Rangers. Latterly these resources (mainly grants) have reduced and a re-focused tender specification for play has needed to be drawn up to reflect less funding and up-dated priorities for Play. This tender specification will help Children's Services deliver key aspects of the Children & Young People's Plan and is part of a wider Play Commissioning Strategy which is available through links in this latest Tender Specification (please see related documents on the right).
