Forest School Volunteering at Freshford Pre-school
Since the start of the summer term 2011, Freshford Pre-school has been running Forest Schools sessions on a weekly basis from a beautiful local wood by kind permission of the landowner. Once a week, the children spend the full Pre-school session outdoors (9am-1pm), including eating their packed lunch. We are looking for volunteers to increase our adult to child ratio at these sessions. This opportunity would suit staff from other settings who are looking to learn more about running their own Forest Schools sessions, as well as Early Years students and other interested volunteers.

For further information about our Forest Schools sessions and our Pre-school see: http://www.freshfordpreschool.co.uk/forest-schools

For further information and to express an interest in this opportunity contact our Pre-school leader - Georgina Muxworthy on info@freshfordpreschool.co.uk

Whisty Pre-School is based at Whisty Hall, Walnut Buildings, Radstock and is registered with Ofsted to take 26 children from the ages of 2-5 years old.

We are looking for volunteers to help within the playgroup on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.15am-2.45pm. N.B. Please note that as from the beginning of September 2011 the playgroup will be held on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and not Mondays).

It does not matter if you cannot help out for all of these hours (just a couple of hours would be great!).  Help can be given in all sorts of ways (for example: story telling, crafts, cooking, helping with outside play or preparing snacks, etc.).  However a CRB check and references will be necessary.

For more information please contact the Secretary: Mrs Shirley Turner on 01761 435101.
