£40,000 funding has been earmarked from a Section 106 agreement with Tesco for the progression of the Greenway towards their store, in Midsomer Norton. However, the Greenway development has since stalled due to land ownership issues and it is recommended that £35,000 from this funding would be better spent on highway improvements on North Road.

The Environment Act 1995 requires that each local authority carries out a review and assessment of the air quality in their area on a regular basis.   Detailed assessment of the air quality in Bath has revealed that there are a number of locations within the city which currently exceed the Government's air quality standards.   This report is asking the Cabinet to consider declaring an Air Quality Management Area, or Areas, for those locations, which are effected.
