De-trunking A4 Hicks Gate to Twerton ForkThe government is shortly to publish orders de-trunking the A4 between Hicks Gate and Twerton Fork and the Council will become responsible for its maintenance. Negotiations have been ongoing for some time and there will be a transfer of funding to cover the maintenance costs. Following a number or works over the last few weeks the road is now considered in reasonable condition. It is recommended that the Council accepts the de-trunking by not objecting to the proposed orders.
