Congestion Delivery PlanThe government is awarding additional grant funding to large urban conurbations which significantly contribute to the government's aim of reducing congestion. The Bristol urban conurbation is one of those areas invited to submit a Plan to reduce congestion and access these funds. The Plan, produced by the West of England Partnership Joint Transport Team, covers short sections of the A4 and A37 in Bath & North East Somerset, where traffic tails back from Bristol and includes Hicks Gate and Whitchurch.

The Link Centre - Closure of Hostel AccommodationThe Link Centre is a special school for pupils aged 9-16 with behavioural,emotional and social difficulties. There is currently hostel provision for 9 pupils attending the school although this is not widely used. It is proposed to close the overnight element and to develop the extended school capacity to allow for more after school and evening activities to take place for larger groups of children. The statutory process to implement this proposal is currently being followed and the two month formal consultation period ends on 16.7.07
