We publish all our contracts and tender opportunities on the "Supplying the South West" portal, alongside many other authorities in the South West. Suppliers can register free to receive email alerts when opportunities arise that may be of interest. One registration will cover all participating authorities. Each year, the Council spends approximately £186 million on goods, services and capital projects ranging from books to building maintenance and hard hats to highways. We want to build effective relationships with our suppliers and service providers in order to achieve these objectives.
Responsibility for delivering this diverse range of procurement activities is devolved to specialist teams across the Council. The Corporate Procurement Team provides strategic support to ensure that the Council has the right knowledge and capacity to provide best value for money to the community.
