Help free Bath and North East Somerset from single-use plastic

We're aiming to acheive 'Plastic Free Communities'* status for the area and need businesses, organisations, schools, clubs and community groups to join us in taking action to reduce excessive and unnecessary single-use plastics.

There isn’t an overnight fix to the global plastics pollution issue. We don’t have all the answers yet. However we’re seeing more and more environmentally sustainable solutions and alternatives to plastic and we want you to join in this journey towards positive change.

Please pledge to take positive action:

We're asking local businesses, organisations and schools to pledge to be Plastic Free Champions. You'll receive a Plastic Free toolkit to help you plan how to do this.

This means you ditch at least 3 different types of single-use plastic – or if you’re already using sustainable alternatives, that counts towards your pledge too.

As a community group, club, town or parish council, your pledge is just as important. There are a wide range of ways for you to participate, such as encouraging others in your community to reduce unnecessary single-use plastic, remind your community of the importance of recycling and also help remove harmful plastic and other litter from the environment through community litter picks.

It is our collective actions that will help us become 'Plastic Free Communities'.
