Local Area Partnership Commissioning for Bath, Norton Radstock and Chew Valley & Keynsham

As part of the local authority’s Children’s Trust arrangements Local Area Partnerships (LAPs) have been established in three geographical areas

  • Bath
  • Norton Radstock
  • Keynsham & Chew Valley

The LAP steering groups identified local priorities for service delivery to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. The Extended Services agenda is a key delivery platform for the Change for Children programme. The national requirement is for all schools to be making a full core offer of extended services by 2010. The full core offer of services contains five elements and the LAP Steering Groups have identified 3 core offer services as priorities:

  • Support for parents and families
  • Access to specialist support services (specifically access to emotional health and well being support services)
  • Access to a varied menu of activities (specifically access to positive activities for young people)

The purpose of Area Based Extended Services funding is to support schools and partner organisations to develop and deliver sustainable and inclusive extended services.

APPLICATIONS FOR THIS TENDER HAS NOW CLOSED AND SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW BEING EVALUATED BY THE PANEL.  SEE SCHEDULE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS.
