Bath and North East Somerset holds no housing stock and therefore cannot offer tenants of Social Housing the right to buy their own homes.
The Council does however aim to support the development of over 100 new affordable homes each year. Since the Council transferred its housing stock to Somer Community Housing Trust in 1999, the Council works in partnership with a number of Housing Associations, to provide affordable housing. Bath & North East Somerset Council will jointly fund these new homes along with the Housing Corporation.
