For people thinking about renting out their home

The Landlords leaflet (see attachment on the right) gives guidance for people thinking about renting out their home. This simple guide includes a 10-point checklist advising landlords how to avoid the pitfalls of private renting.

We have now started to advertise privately rented properties on the Homesearch website so that accredited private landlords and lettings agents can advertise their available accommodation. These landlords will consider people who are receiving Local Housing Allowance (formerly housing benefit).

Applicants should contact the landlord directly with any queries regarding the properties advertised.
