WE HAVE UPRADED OUR HOMESEARCH WEBSITE
Following our recent upgrade there are additional questions in your Homesearch application that need to be answered to keep it 'Live'.
Please login using your login reference number and your memorable date (usually your date of birth) and go to the 'My social housing' tab on the left hand side of the page. You will also need to add your National Insurance number if we do not already have it.
You are also able to update your application with any changes of circumstances and change of address yourself online by logging in as above.
All HOMESEARCH services are now at the Council Connect Office at the Guildhall, High Street, Bath BA1 5AW.
If you want to talk to someone about your Homesearch application you can call in to the Homesearch 'drop in' service which is held at the Guildhall, Bath, every Wednesday from 9.30 to 12.00 and 2.00 to 4.30.
THE HOMESEARCH REGISTER
The number of households on Homesearch is still increasing by an average of 34 a week. We now have more than 11385 applications on the Register.
During the last 3 months we have housed 261 households, an average of 20 each week.
The majority of applications are registered in Group C (8195) and more than 6500 people are waiting for one bedroom properties. At the moment people in Group C are generally waiting more than 6 years before being housed, however, those who apply now may be waiting considerably longer.
If you are on the Homesearch register you may want to consider other options such as shared ownership or private rented housing. Please see the Council’s website http://www.bathnes.gov.uk/Housing/Pages/default.aspx for more details.
NUMBER OF HOMES ADVERTISED
Between 1 October and 31 December we have been able to advertise 225 social housing properties on the Homesearch website with 24% of these properties being flats and bungalows for older people (60 plus).
During this time 261 households have been housed, 215 into genreal needs housing and 46 into housing for older people.
