Sirona Care and Health was created in October 2011 as an independent not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) providing publicly-funded health and social care services. It was formed by the local Primary Care Trust and Council to ensure the delivery of high quality health and social care services that are easy for people to use and are delivered in a way that makes sense to local people.
Sirona is responsible for the delivery of the community healthcare and adult social care services previously provided by Bath and North East Somerset PCT and Council respectively.
Sirona Care and Health aims to provide an excellent quality of care with skill, compassion and respect.
Sirona’s ‘Core Offer’ is as follows:
- The provision of joined-up health and social care that promotes independence and recovery and restores well-being
- Preventing or slowing the deterioration of existing chronic conditions and supporting optimal quality of life, including end of life care
- Ensuring that everyone we work with has maximum choice and control over their care or support plan and the way their services are delivered
- Promoting better quality of life for all through the provision of a range of preventative, early intervention and Safeguarding services
- Supporting the needs and the contribution of Carers
