About This Brochure

This training brochure has been designed to be readily accessible to staff from all agencies. The first few pages aim to set in context the purpose of the training programme and to act as a future reference to practitioners.

The training brochure outlines the training programme from April 2011 to April 2012 as agreed by Bath and North East Somerset Local Safeguarding Children Board and its sub-committees.

The Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) is committed to providing a comprehensive and effective training programme to agencies within Bath and North East Somerset. The training programme aims to increase participants' knowledge and skills in the field of Child Protection and improve working relationships between agencies, in order to promote high quality service provision and better outcomes for children and young people.

The training programme aims to promote anti-discriminatory practice, and reflect cultural diversity and all courses should address these issues.
