Integrated working enables and encourages everyone working with children, young people and families to work together, putting children, young people and families at the centre of decision-making. It is supported by a number of processes that make the delivery of frontline services more effective in meeting identified needs because they are built around the needs of children and young people. Integrated working is underpinned by effective communication between families and the children's workforce.
In Bath and North East Somerset, children and young people are at the heart of local implementation of common processes, such as the role of the Lead Professional, the Team Around the Child, and the Common Assessment Framework.
If you are working with a child or young person who has a clearly defined need, it is likely that you will be able to make a direct referral. Guidance on access to services for young people aged 11-18 can be found under 'Related Documents'.
To the right of this page, there is also a glossary of common terms which help in promoting a shared language and understanding across the children's workforce to promote better outcomes for children and young people.
