Restoration Works

The Main Scheme of stabilisation was completed at the end of December 2009 and we are now looking to returning Firs Field back to the village.

ER Hemmings have been carrying out the reinstatement works of the field.

We’re hoping to open up the southern part of the field in time for the school holidays (July).  Areas of the field that are home to rare species need to remain fenced off for a while longer, until fully estabilshed and at less risk to damage.

We’re also planning to hand back the library car park area to Parks, we a re currently looking at the process for formal handover.
