Bath & North East Somerset Council is consulting on the proposed admission arrangements and Admission Numbers for all Bath & North East Somerset Schools and the admissions criteria for its Community and Voluntary Controlled (VC) Schools.
Also included in the consultation, on behalf of the Governing Bodies of the individual Schools, are the proposed admissions criteria for some of the Academies, Foundation, Trust and Voluntary Aided (VA) Schools within the authority. Proposed 6th form admission policies are also included in the consultation.
When making proposed changes admission authorities for schools must publish proposed admission arrangements for consultation with other admission authorities, local authorities, the local diocese, parents and community groups. Unless there are comments which prompt the admission authority for the school to change parts of these arrangements, these proposed arrangements will be determined and become the arrangements which will be followed for 2013/14 admissions.
The primary, secondary and in year co-ordinated admission schemes will apply to all schools, including Academies, Voluntary Aided, Foundation and Trust Schools.
Bath & North East Somerset Council is the admission authority for all Community and Voluntary Controlled (VC) Schools. The proposed 2013/14 admissions criteria for these types of Primary and Secondary schools can be viewed by clicking on the relevant link below.
Academies, Voluntary Aided (VA), Foundation and Trust Schools are their own admission authorities. In the case of Academies the Academy Trust is the admission authority and for the other schools it is the Governing Body. Details of their individual proposed admission criteria for 2013/14 can be found by clicking on the appropriate heading below and then the individual school names are listed. Proposed 6th form admission policies can be accessed in the same way under that heading.
The consultation period ends on 1 March 2012.
