Both booklets contain essential information on how to make an application along with a number of useful contact points should you need further information. In deciding which schools you wish to give as your preferences, please read the admissions criteria for each school. This will tell you which category your application would be considered under if the school were to be oversubscribed.
One section of the booklets explain how places at all the schools within the Authority have been allocated over the past 3 years. This may help you to decide what chance you have of gaining a place should you apply.

1st September 2011 until the closing date of 31st October 2011 for Secondary applications
and
1st September 2011 until the closing date of 15th January 2012 for Reception or Year 3 applications.

- The school booklets explain how schools are organised within the Authority and include a map which shows where the schools are. The names of headteachers and the addresses of the schools are also included.
There is a section which explains how the appeals process works if your application is unsuccessful and another section which explains about school transport and how to decide if you qualify.
The booklets are full of information which should help you make your decisions and guide you through the applications process.
