Vehicle Maintenance
Part of Environmental Services, we are here to advise and
support whatever your vehicle
maintenance requirements.
We are the Council's provider of a comprehensive range of
vehicles plant and Fleet Management services. We are the holders of
the Council's Operators Licence and have an obligation to maintain
the standards of all vehicles operated by the Authority including
all associated records. The services spend around £1.7
million p.a on behalf of the council providing a proven best value
service.
The Vehicles
Our Fleet Management advisors can source and supply all your
vehicle and plant requirements, tailor-made to your requirements.
We source and supply a comprehensive range of vehicles from cars
and vans, to refuse vehicles and mowers.
We not only manage the purchase of all new Council vehicles, but
also facilitate Vehicle Disposal including the removal of all
council livery.
Vehicle Management
The Vehicle Management staff will co-ordinate the M.O.T.,
Servicing, Road Fund, and all statutory testing for your
vehicles
Vehicle Servicing
We perform repairs and servicing as required on all
specifications of vehicle. The Vehicle Maintenance Team has
extensive training and experience.
Vehicle Fuel Supplies
Bulk purchase of fuel enables us to negotiate substantial fuel
cost savings, which we are able to pass on to our clients. Our
cost-effective fuel filling provision at the Midland Road and
Radstock Road Depots produce real cost savings to clients. Contact

Alternatively, we can arrange to issue fuel cards, which can be
used at most Service Stations to withdrawn fuel. Contact our

Insurance
We provide all B&NES Council vehicle insurance. Please
contact our Vehicle Management Service Advisor for further details
of our policies.

Equipment Anti-Theft System
Vehicle Management currently use an innovative anti-theft system
for its equipment. An invisible liquid solution along with a
brand marking acts as a deterrent to potential thieves, and should
any goods be stolen, it can be used by Police to return the goods

Essential Car Users Pre-Purchase Inspections
Our professional assessor is available to carry out inspections
on cars prior to purchase.
PAT Testing
We test portable appliances to comply with electrical
regulations and overhaul and repair of all types of industrial
cleaning machines.
