First Great Western

First Great Western provide services to and from Bath Spa, Freshford, Keynsham and Oldfield Park.

They provide direct services to:

  • London, Reading, Swindon, Cardiff, Chippenham, Bristol, Weston super Mare, Taunton, Exeter, Filton Abbey Wood, Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Salisbury, Southampton, Portsmouth, Frome, Yeovil, Weymouth and other destinations in the South West, Wales, West Midlands and North West.

South West Trains

South West Trains provide a service that runs from Bristol Temple Meads to London Waterloo calling at Bath Spa. Also provides a morning commuter train from Oldfield Park & Keynsham to Bristol Temple Meads.

Virgin Trains

Virgin Trains, whilst not calling at any Bath & North East Somerset railway stations, provide cross country services from Bristol Temple Meads, Bristol Parkway and Weston super Mare.

From these destinations they provide services to:

  • The South West, the Midlands, the North West and the North East of England plus certain destinations in Scotland.

Traveline

Traveline provides timetables and journey planners for bus, coach and rail services in the South West. Traveline is also available on tel. 0871 200 22 33 between 7 am and 10 pm (calls cost 10p per minute from landlines).

Transport Direct is designed to be the first complete transport journey planner for Great Britain. In addition to providing public transport information, you can compare car journeys with national and local public transport (excluding GB internal air).

Severnside Community Rail Partnership  was formed in Summer 2004 following an initiative by the former Rail Passengers Committee for Western England. As well as the train operators, Network Rail and the local authorities, the Partnership is working with community organisations, businesses, development and tourism agencies to identify and implement measures that encourage the use of rail services.
