Local bus service changes March 2006
Notice to bus passengers – Northgate Street closed to all
traffic between 7:30pm and 6:00am on Sunday 12th March, Monday 13th
March, Tuesday 14th March, and Wednesday 15th March 2006
Due to resurfacing work and repairs to the bus gate loops,
Northgate Street will be closed to all traffic between
7:30pm and 6:00am on four consecutive
nights - Sunday 12th March, Monday 13th March, Tuesday 14th March,
and Wednesday 15th March 2006. During this time
the following bus services will not serve bus stops on
Pierrepont Street, Orange Grove, High
Street, Northgate Street, Broad
Street, Bridge Street, Grand Parade,
Walcot Street, & Milsom Street. Instead
the bus services will divert as follows:
13/713, 231, 232, 702, 706, 707, X71, X72.
These bus services will divert via Bath Bus Station/Dorchester
Street, Broad Quay, Green Park Road, Charles Street, Chapel Row,
Queen Square, Gay Street, George Street, before rejoining
their regular routes. During the closure period, passengers are
advised to use bus stops at either Bath Bus Station/Dorchester
Street or Queen Square for the above services. These are
the only two bus stop locations in Bath City Centre that the above
bus services will serve during this time. This diversion will be
followed in both directions of travel and there are two
temporary stops in place at Queen Square – one stop
for inbound buses, and one stop for outbound buses.
The Lansdown Park & Ride service will also be
affected by the closure to Northgate Street and will use the stop
on the east side of Queen Square (the old Park & Ride
stop) rather than the regular stop on Milsom
Street.
Lansdown Park & Ride Service -Temporary Change of City
Centre Stop on Monday 13th March, Tuesday 14th March, and Wednesday
15th March 2006
Due to resurfacing work and repairs to the bus gate loops,
Northgate Street will be closed to all traffic between
1930 hours and 0600 hours on Sunday 12th March, Monday 13th
March, Tuesday 14th March, and Wednesday 15th March
2006.
As a result of the closure to Northgate Street, the Lansdown
Park & Ride service will not serve the regular City Centre stop
in Milsom Street from 1930 hours onwards on Monday 13th March,
Tuesday 14th March, and Wednesday 15th March 2006.
On Monday 13th March, Tuesday 14th March, and Wednesday 15th
March 2006, the following journeys back to the Lansdown Park &
Ride site from Bath City Centre will all depart from the temporary
bus stop located on the east side of Queen Square (the old
Park & Ride stop). Queen Square is located approximately 100
metres west of Milsom Street and can be accessed from Milsom Street
via Quiet Street and Wood Street.

Notice to bus passengers – Closure of Coronation Avenue,
Keynsham all day on Monday 20th March 2006 due to carriageway
resurfacing works
All day on Monday 20th March 2006 the section of
Coronation Avenue, Keynsham that lies between the junction with
Park Road and the junction with Warwick Road will be closed to all
traffic due to carriageway resurfacing works. The following bus
services will therefore be affected:
318 Keynsham – Cribbs

The 318, 337, 349, & 649 services will
divert as follows: They will follow their normal routes until the
top of Albert Road. The buses will then travel up Queens Road
towards The Wingrove pub rather than turn left into Park Road. At
The Wingrove pub, the buses will turn left into Tenby Road, then
right into Warwick Road, then left into Farleigh Road, before
joining the normal route on Cedar Drive.
While Coronation Avenue is closed, the 318, 337, 349
& 649 services will not serve Park Road or Coronation
Avenue. Passengers are advised to catch the buses from the
stops on either Albert Road or Cedar Drive while the closure is in
place.
The 665 service will divert as follows: The bus
will serve the route as normal up until Dunster Road. Once on
Dunster Road, instead of turning right down Lulworth Road, the bus
will travel along the entire length of Dunster Road to the junction
with Coronation Avenue. The bus will then turn right down
Coronation Avenue, proceed for about 50 metres and then turn left
into Warwick Road. The bus will now resume the normal route.
While Coronation Avenue is closed, the only section of the
regular route that the 665 service will not serve is Lulworth Road
and the section of Coronation Avenue between the junction with
Lulworth Road and the junction with Warwick Road.
Please note that different sections of Coronation Avenue
will also be closed on Tuesday 21st March, Wednesday 22nd March,
& Thursday 23rd March. Further information will be provided on
Monday 20th March as to what will be happening to the bus services
on these days.

Keynsham bewteen 9am and 5pm on Tuesday 21st March 2006
due to carriageway resurfacing works
On Tuesday 21st March 2006 between
9am and 5pm the section of Coronation Avenue,
Keynsham that lies between the junction with Dunster Road and
Caernarvon Road will be closed to all traffic due to carriageway
resurfacing works. The following bus services will therefore be
affected:

Before 9am and after 5pm on the 21st all bus services
will serve their normal routes. Bus services will only be diverted
away from their normal routes between 9am and
5pm.
Between 9am and 5pm the 318, 337, 349, & 683 bus
services will divert as follows: They will follow their
normal routes until the top of Albert Road. The buses will then
divert via Queens Road, Caernarvon Road and Charlton Road at which
point they will rejoin the regular routes.
Between 9am and 5pm when Coronation Avenue is closed,
the 318, 337, 349 & 683 services will not serve Park Road,
Coronation Avenue, Cedar Drive, Longmeadow Road, & the section
of Charlton Road between Longmeadow Road and Caernarvon
Road. Passengers are advised to catch the buses from the
stops on either Albert Road or the lower section of Charlton Road.
Passengers for the 683 service are advised to catch the service
from the stop on Charlton Road near the junction with Longmeadow
Road.
Between 9am and 5pm the 665
service will divert as follows: The bus will serve the
route as normal up until the top of Queens Road. The bus will then
divert by turning right into Caernarvon Road, left into Charlton
Road, and second right into Lays Drive. The bus will then resume
the normal route.
Between 9am and 5pm when Coronation Avenue is closed,
the 665 service will not serve the top section of Coronation
Avenue, Cedar Drive, Holmoak Road, Longmeadow Road, and the section
of Charlton Road between Longmeadow Road and Lays
Drive.
Please note that different sections of Coronation Avenue
will also be closed on Wednesday 22nd March, & Thursday 23rd
March. Further information will be provided on Tuesday 21st March
as to what will be happening to the bus services on these
days.
