We have a
Public Convenience provision strategy which incorporates a
14 point improvement plan, with the following as an overarching
policy:
Within its Community Strategy, the Council is committed to
providing a public convenience service tailored to local needs and
local resources. That service will be defined in terms of the level
of provision; the standard of maintenance and the standard of
cleanliness.
If you wish to report any problem with a public toilet, please
contact Council Connect on 01225 39 40 41.
Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) compliance
works are being carried out in Bath city centre
public toilets over the next 1 - 2 months from the end of
February. Great effort is being made in programming the works
to cause the least disruption possible to residents and visitors,
for example avoiding complete closure of a facility at any time
and avoiding main works over Easter and school
holidays. Additional temporary signs will be put up at the
locations to help inform users of other public toilets in
the city centre. We apologise for any inconvenience
during this period of works which will result in better facilities
for public use.
All locations will have the current disabled unit
upgraded to be fully accessible as well as "ambulant"
cubicles installed (which means compliant door fittings, grab
rails, sensor flushes in one of the cubicles in each Ladies and
Gents sections. The broad programme is as follows but
this is subject to confirmation by the contractor who is reviewing
the phasing and schedule.

later in the year.
