Southgate Redevelopment - Bath
Please be aware that the follow work commenced in
June as part of the Southgate redevelopment project:
- The existing bus station will close. All services will commence
from a temporary site at Avon Street
car park.
- Newark Street and Railway Street will be closed as
the area will become occupied for redevelopment.
- The existing cycle/pedestrian link between Lower Borough Walls
and New Orchard Street will be widened and used as highway by buses
and taxis only.
- Dorchester Street will need to be realigned and
will become one-way from East to West from late June to
November. This will aid traffic management and will decrease the
duration of work.
During this time appropriate diversion signage will be provided
to direct traffic unable to use Dorchester Street. (see map in
related documents, right)
