Work Summary

The footway slurry sealing scheme is scheduled to begin on Monday 25th March and will last approximately 5 weeks covering 23 sites in Bath and North East Somerset.

What is footway slurry sealing?

Our pavement maintenance repair programme involves localised bitmac repairs followed by the application of slurry seal over the full width of the pavement. Slurry seal is a blend of bitumen emulsion, fine aggregate, cement and water which, whilst being economical to use, will considerably extend the life of the underlying macadam. The material is spread out over the pavement and then it sets to provide a new surface. The restoration treatment is well established in the U.K. and our contractor Ringway employs a specialist workforce to undertake this work.    

Resident information

Adjacent and 'close by' properties will receive an information letter from us regarding this work. In addition the the contractor will deliver letters prior to 48 hours before the works commence at each site.
