These pages provide information on public utilities works
undertaken on the highway.
Under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, the Authority is
required to monitor the excavations and other works undertaken by
utility companies in the public highway.
In essence the utility companies have to give advance notice of
their intention to undertake such works, but in the case of
emergency works the notice can be forwarded after the works have
commenced.
