Assessment and Awards
Annual Assessments
Annual assessments will be made and will be used for the purpose
of:
- Making awards to the best contractors or utilities whose
performance has been well above a satisfactory minimum
standard.
- Commending contractors whose performance has been consistently
satisfactory.
- Requiring contractors whose performance has been unsatisfactory
to improve.
Suspending or removing from the Bath and North East Somerset
Council list any contractors who consistently perform
poorly.
Awards
Bath and North East Somerset Council will recognise and reward
good practice. This recognition is regarded as fundamental to
the successful operation of the Considerate Contractor Scheme in
order to achieve the consistently high standard of streetworks,
which will benefit everyone.
Awards will be made annually for the following categories
GOLD
For the Utility/Contractor who has achieved excellence and is
the overall best performer.
SILVER
For the Utility/Contractor who has achieved excellence and is
the second best performer.
BRONZE
For the Utility/Contractor who has achieved excellence and is
the third best performer.
MERIT
For contractors who have regularly achieved a good standard of
performance.
MOST IMPROVED
For contractors whose performance has improved most
significantly.
LAY ASSESSOR AWARD
Recognition of the most outstanding Lay Assessor
To be considered for the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards a
minimum of 40 Site Inspections are required.
