Roads - Road Works

This section of the website will help you identify closures coming up, so you can re-plan your journeys, and so help ease congestion around busy areas, and closures. Road closures can be an inconvenience at best, but will lead to significant improvements for the future.

Quality roads and pavements has become one of the top priorities for the Council over the next few years, in response to the needs of local people, visitors and businesses. Improvements will inevitably need to involve road works and consequent closures.
