The control and treatment of noxious weeds is the responsibility
of the Highway Authority where they occur on the highway (not on
private land).
Noxious weeds include:
- Broad-leaved Dock (Rumex obtusifolius)
- Common Ragwort - (Senecio jacobaea)
- Creeping Thistle (Cirsium arvense)
- Curled Dock (Rumex crispus)
- Giant Hogweed (Heracleum Mantegazzianum)
- Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum)
- Spear Thistle (Cirsium vulgare)
