Parkmobile - Electronic Parking Permits
A new, more convenient and secure parking system in Bath &
North East Somerset
Bath & North East Somerset Council is pleased to introduce a
new electronic parking permit system in Bath and Keynsham; this new
system is developed by Parkmobile, Europe’s largest provider of
electronic parking management solutions. It is convenient, secure
and saves time.
Starting from the end of November 2005 your current paper permit
will be replaced permanently with a new electronic permit
(transponder card).
- All new applicants will receive an electronic
permit automatically. To request an application form please contact
our parking team via the Contact Details given
at the bottom of this page.
- Current permit holders will be issued with an
electonic permit on renewal.

Your current paper permit will be replaced permanently with a
new electronic permit (transponder card).
Simply display it in the windscreen of your vehicle in place of
your old paper permit.
Note: The card number must be clearly visible from the outside
to allow parking attendants to check the validity of your card.

- Security & protection against fraud
- The electronic permit provides much greater protection against
fraud and should eliminate misuse. Your permit will be worthless if
reported stolen or lost. All you have to do is make a call to
report it to the Council and we can cancel your card on our system
immediately.
- Convenience and time saving
- The electronic permits also provide a more convenient system
and speed up the permit process.
- You will only need to be issued with an electronic permit
once
- When updating your permits, you will still need to complete the
relevant application form via the post and prove you eligibility
when required; but you will not have to obtain a new card. Your
update will be processed onto your electronic permit remotely.
- You will be able to apply for
many permits online via your Parkmobile Personal Page (external website -
opens in news window) that is created automatically for every
electronic permit holder, which means that you no longer have to
visit the Parking Shop. Moreover, you can view your payment
history, other personal details, as well as activate and deactivate
your visitor’s permit via your Parkmobile Personal Page (external website -
