Park & Ride
Royal United Hospital
Service History and Information
The Odd Down Park & Ride site was chosen for
it's large parking capacity and its good catchment area
for hospital patients and visitors, south of the city.
The service was launched in June 2003 with initial funding
provided by the Department for Transport, following a successful
Urban Bus Challenge bid by the Council and hospital in
2003. The service is now entirely funded by Bath &
North East Somerset Counci and the Royal United Hospital.
The service is operated by Abus under contract to Bath &
North East Somerset Council. The Council manages the demand
responsive 'flexible route' part of the service. Please view the
Flexible Service page for further details.
