I've got a penalty charge notice and I want to dispute it – how can I do it?

As the issue of a penalty charge notice is a legal matter it will have to be dealt with formally in writing.

Staff at the Parking Shop can give you a form to fill out if you prefer but they cannot deal with the matter on the spot.

All disputes are passed to an independent team who deal with these matters.

If you are unhappy with their decision which will be advised in writing then you have a right of appeal to an independent body.

Whatever you do, do not ignore a Penalty Charge Notice.

The scale of charges escalates as time goes on and ultimately the courts will allow recover of unpaid money.
