Car Parks in Bath - Pay on Foot Advice
A new system to make paying for car parking simpler and more
efficient came into force on Monday 10 April 2006.
The Pay-on-Foot system now operates in Avon Street and Charlotte
Street car parks and replaces the former Pay and Display
system.
The Pay-on-Foot system requires car park users to pay for their
parking on return to their vehicles, and they are charged for the
length of time they have been parked in the car park according to
the
parking charge time bands. This system removes the possibility
of car park users receiving a Penalty Charge Notice for failing to
display a valid parking ticket or over-staying at the car park.
New pay stations are provided which allow for payment by
coins and notes as well as debit and credit cards. The machines
provide change.
Blue Badge Holders
Charges now apply to all blue badge holders. All blue badge
holders when parking in a pay on foot or pay and display car parks
in Bath and Keynsham will be required to pay the tarriff
displayed.
