computers in use

People on low incomes, children and students will receive free computer and internet access in all Bath & North Somerset Council Libraries as part of a four-month pilot project starting in January 2009.

From 5 January, until the end of April 2009, library members who qualify for concessionary status will be able to have full computer access for up to one hour per day free of charge. Additional time beyond one hour will be available for £1.80 per hour. The concessionary rate applies to school children, students of any age, disabled people, and anyone in receipt of Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Pension Credit, Housing benefit, or Job Seekers Allowance.

In order for the computer systems to be updated, there will be no access to computer or internet services in Bath and North East Somerset libraries from 22 December until January 4. Full service will resume on January 5. 2009. The Council would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
