Landlords are being invited to a free exhibition where they
can get important advice around issues including health and
safety, finance, energy performance and tenancy deposits.
The Landlord Expo 2008, on Thursday, 15 May, is the largest
local authority run landlord event in the UK. It is organised
by Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol City, North Somerset and
South Gloucestershire Councils, together with the Bristol
Association of Letting and Managing Agents (BALMA).
It will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel, Filton Road, Hambrook,
BS16 1QX.
Running from 1pm to 8pm, the free event is aimed at anyone who
is already a landlord or letting agent, or anyone who is
considering entering the private rental market.
With information stands, seminars and demonstrations, the annual
event informs private landlords, letting agents and other investors
of a wide range of commercial and council services available to
them. It is also an excellent chance for those involved in the
private rented sector to meet and network.

Landlords or agents attending the Landlord Expo 2008 will
receive the new version of the free West of England Landlord
Manual - a comprehensive guide to the business of being a landlord
in the private rented sector. After the very popular first edition
was launched at the Expo 2007, this will be the first time that
landlords will have the opportunity to get there hands on the
improved and updated second addition of the Landlord
Manual.
Landlords and property related professionals will also have the
opportunity to sign up to the associated Landlord Development
course and work their way towards achieving the West of England
Landlord Development certificate.
