Bath & North East Somerset Council will be carrying out
essential road resurfacing works from the 30 August through to
November.
In conjunction with contractors Tarmac, the initial seven sites
to be resurfaced are:
· Staunton Lane and the western section of Stockwood Lane in
Whitchurch (30 August for nine days);
· the northern section of Woollard Lane, Whitchurch (20
September for four days)
· a section of Norton Lane and Maesknoll Lane, Whitchurch (8
September for four days);
· a small section of Church Road in Norton Malreward (17
September for two days);
· a section of Park Road, Keynsham (28 September for three
days);
· the whole of Kelston Road, Keynsham (23 September for four
days);
· a section of the B3130 Stanton Road at Belluton, Pensford (13
September for four days).
Day time working hours are scheduled for these sites with two
exceptions:
Resurfacing of the roundabout at the junction of Stockwood Lane
and Stockwood Road will take place between 7pm on Saturday 30
August and 6am Sunday 31 August.
And resurfacing of the B3130 through Belluton Narrows at
Pensford will take place on Saturday 13 September and Sunday 14
September between 7am and 11pm, and on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16
September between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
All properties adjacent to these seven sites have been notified
of the works by letter, and driver/resident information boards
detailing the dates and times of the works will be displayed at
each location.
Where on-street parking is normally permitted the Council would
like to remind drivers not to park their cars within the works site
during working hours as this causes unnecessary delay and expense.
Should vehicle movement be necessary during the works hours, early
liaison with the contractors working on-site is advised so as to
minimise delays.
In each case every effort will be made to minimise noise and
nuisance. Bath & North East Somerset Council apologises for any
inconvenience caused.
Information regarding future sites will be advertised when
arrangements with the contractor have been finalised.
