A SERIES of fun events for all the family have been organised by
Bath & North East Somerset Council this Easter at the Victoria
Art Gallery and Museum of Costume in Bath
The Victoria Art Gallery’s Young @ Art Club is holding several
activity sessions during the Easter holiday.
The first are on Thursday, March 31 at 10.30am-12noon or
1.30pm-3pm. Children aged three to 11 will be making colourful
designs based on the Gallery’s Henri Matisse exhibition which opens
on Saturday, March 26.
The following week sessions will be held on Thursday, April 7
and Friday, April 8 at 10.30am-12noon and 1.30pm-3pm. These will
also be based on the Matisse exhibition and young members will be
creating and cutting colourful images inspired by those on
display.
Tickets for Young @ Art Club sessions cost £3 per child and must
be pre-booked by calling Tel: 01225 477244.
At the Museum of Costume on Tuesday, April 5 children can make
decorative boxes based on patterns featured in the museum’s
collection and in the Assembly Rooms themselves.
These free sessions take place at 11am-12.30pm and
1.30pm-3pm.
All children must be accompanied by an adult at all of these
