FOLLOWING a number of successful events last year Bath &
North East Somerset Council, in conjunction with the Avonsafe
Partnership, has organised two more wellbeing days for older people
in the area.
The first will take place tomorrow (Friday, July 1) in The
Wesley Hall, Park Road, Paulton and the second on Thursday, July 7
in the British Legion, Charlton Road, Keynsham.
Both days will be open between 10am and 3pm.Visitors to the days
will be able to find out about home safety checks by Avon Fire
Brigade, get advice on staying safe as an older driver and discover
the benefits of safe and enjoyable exercise.
There will also be demonstrations of Tai Chi, free electric
blanket testing and advice on healthy eating. Free light
refreshments will also be available throughout the day.
Individuals and groups can come at any time throughout the day
and stay for as long as they like. We look forward to seeing you on
the day.
