Wartime talks continue at the Victoria Art Gallery

The Victoria Art Gallery in Bath

THE series of free talks to accompany the Victoria Art Gallery’s ‘Blitzed! War Artists in Bath’ exhibition continue throughout June and July.

All the talks take place at the Victoria Art Gallery from 1.10pm-1.45pm.

On Tuesday, June 7 local resident Ruth Haskins will be telling visitors to the Gallery about her life as a young mother in Bath during the Second World War and about women on the Home Front.

David McLaughlin, Bath & North East Somerset Council’s Senior Conservation Officer, will be leading the last two talks in the series on Tuesday, June 21 on Tuesday, July 5.

The first will be on recording the damage inflicted on the city of Bath and the second will take a closer look at how the city was rebuilt after the war.
