Clean up after your dog

BATH & North East Somerset Council has renewed its request for dog owners to be responsible and clear up after their pets following a noticeable increase in complaints about dog mess.

The Council’s Dog Warden, Dennis Oakman, is stepping up patrols in dog mess hotspots and if he spots anyone not clearing up after their dog they will be given an on-the-spot £50 fine.

Members of public who see offenders are encouraged to report them via the FIDO Line (Find Idle Dog Owners) on Tel: 01225 396633.

Dog walkers who do clear up after their dog can dispose of the faeces wrapped in plastic bags in any dog waste bin, litter bin and also if double wrapped, in the household refuse.

If you require advice on any dog related issue please contact the Dog Warden on Tel: 01225 396633 or e-mail dennis_oakman@bathnes.gov.uk
