DO you know someone in your local community who has shown
supreme bravery and courage in the face of adversity?
If so Cllr Marian McNeir, Chairman of Bath & North East
Somerset Council, would like to hear from you as they could be the
ideal candidate for this year’s Chairman’s Courage Award.
Cllr McNeir said: “There are many people in Bath & North
East Somerset who are an inspiration to others because of the
courage they show in adversity.
“Perhaps you know of someone who has overcome tremendous
problems, who hasn’t given up when everything seems to working
against them or someone who ha shown an act of bravery.
“You may know a friend or neighbour who has shown courage and
could be an inspiration for others struggling to overcome their
problems.
“If you know someone like this please get in touch – the
Chairman’s Courage Awards are a wonderful to reward local people
who have been through so much and I am looking forward to receiving
the nominations.”
The winner will receive a cash prize and a certificate at Bath
& North East Somerset Council’s Annual Civic Reception to be
held at the Guildhall in Bath on Tuesday, March 22.
The closing dates for nominations is Friday, March 4 and all
nominations should be in the form of a letter to the Chairman of
the Council, The Chairman’s Office, Guildhall, High Street, Bath,
BA1 5AW.
